Vande Mataram Smaran Utsav: A Patriotic Tribute by Dr. Subhash University NCC Unit

To mark the 150th anniversary of the iconic Vande Mataram anthem, the NCC Unit of Dr. Subhash University organized a patriotic celebration — “Vande Mataram Smaran Utsav.”
The event was held with great enthusiasm and reverence, bringing together the spirit of unity and national pride among students and faculty members alike.

Honoring the Spirit of Vande Mataram

The celebration began with a group rendition of the national song “Vande Mataram” at 11:15 AM, symbolizing gratitude to the motherland and remembrance of the sacrifices made during India’s freedom struggle.
The occasion was graced by Captain Jaydev Joshi, who served as the Chief Guest, inspiring attendees with his words on patriotism and national unity.

A Unifying Musical Moment

With around 200 staff members and nearly 380 students participating in the group singing, the event echoed with the powerful voice of collective devotion. The rendition not only filled the atmosphere with emotion but also reminded everyone of the timeless message of Vande Mataram — “Mother, I bow to thee.”

Reflecting on History and Legacy

Following the group singing, meaningful discussions were held to reflect upon the historical and patriotic essence of the anthem. Faculty and students shared insights on how “Vande Mataram” played a pivotal role in inspiring India’s independence movement and continues to ignite the flame of patriotism among youth.
