Introduction to course

Department Civil Engineering was established under DRSTC in the year 2012-13 by offering a Bachelor’s Degree Course in Civil Engineering, The objective of Civil Engineering Department is to produce Competent, disciplined quality Engineers and administrators through service par excellence, to accomplish the department as the center of excellence in civil engineering education shaping the youth into prosperous civil Engineers to make India a major industrial power.

Department has well qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty members providing excellent teaching & learning environment. Faculties with industrial background bridge the gap between academic learning and industrial needs. Apart from conducting academic programs, additional computer courses, seminars and workshops are conducted for the students as well as the faculty.

Mission

To impart quality and real-time education that contributes to the field of Civil Engineering at the best private university in Junagadh, while also fostering soft skills, leadership qualities, and professional ethics among graduates to handle projects independently. Our goal is to develop graduates who can compete at a global level, address contemporary issues, and cater to societal needs effectively.

Vision

The vision of the Department is to produce civil engineers with professional and leadership qualities, capable of undertaking professional and research assignments in Civil Engineering and allied fields with a focus on interdisciplinary and innovative approaches at the best private university in Junagadh. Our aim is to prepare graduates to compete at the global level.

Course objective

  • Civil Engineer will have embarked on successful careers as civil engineers and in related job functions in consulting, government, and privet Sector.
  • Civil Engineer will be competent with training and coverage in selected civil engineering specializations so that those who are well qualified can pursue higher studies.
  • Civil Engineer will possess a good understanding of social, environmental and ethical issues and have effective communication skills.
  • Civil Engineer will have awareness of contemporary professional issues and support the engineering profession through participation in professional societies and/or educational institutions

Course outcome

The Civil department outcomes with the skills and knowledge that a graduate will have during their graduation and also able to apply after graduation.

  • Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, civil engineering fundamentals in the five broad areas of civil engineering namely structures, water resources, geotechnical, transportation and environmental engineering for solution of complex problems in the Civil Engineering.
  • Design solutions/processes for problems pertaining to Civil Engineering projects in sub- and super structure construction, water treatment, highway alignment with due consideration for the structural stability and safety, durability with respect to environmental effects, cultural and societal needs of the public.
  • Understand the role and responsibility of a professional Civil Engineer in the societal, health, safety and cultural issues by applying reasoning based on the contextual knowledge and within the legal framework for the welfare of society at large.
  • Communicate effectively by comprehending designs and drawings, including use of relevant codes, writing effective technical reports and make oral or written presentation as per the need of the project.
  • Civil Engineer will be motivated for continuous self-learning in engineering practice and/ or pursue research in advanced areas of civil engineering in order to offer engineering services to the society, ethically and responsibly.

Eligibility:
  • The student who has qualified HSC or equivalent examination in Science stream from recognized board or body is eligible for admission in B.Tech. programme.

Admission Process:
  • Purchase a PIN and Booklet from the recognized bank as informed by the Admission Committee.
  • Submit an online form with necessary details and upload the documents on the admission portal.
  • Make suitable choice filling as suggested by the admission committee in due time.
  • Once the seat allocation is done and a seat is allotted to you, confirm your admission and pay necessary fees online on the portal.
  • Take print of confirmation letter and payment receipt and report to the allotted institute in prescribed time duration.
