Introduction to course
The M.Sc. Nursing in Medical-Surgical Nursing (MSN) at Dr. Subhash University is a two-year postgraduate program designed to equip nursing professionals with in-depth knowledge and advanced clinical skills in managing adult patients with complex medical and surgical conditions. The course focuses on specialized care, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making to prepare students for leadership roles in healthcare settings. Through modern labs, hospital tie-ups, and expert mentorship, students gain hands-on experience across various specialties such as cardiology, neurology, oncology, orthopedics, and critical care.
Program objective

Program outcome
Upon completion of the M.Sc. Nursing (MSN) program, graduates will be able to:
Deliver advanced nursing care to patients with acute and chronic medical-surgical conditions.
Demonstrate expertise in specialized units such as ICU, operation theaters, emergency rooms, and high-dependency units.
Lead and manage nursing teams in clinical settings with competence and professionalism.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
B.Sc Nursing OR Post Basic B.Sc Nursing from an INC-recognised institute Minimum 55% aggregate marks in B.Sc / P.B.B.Sc Nursing Nursing Registration (Mandatory)
Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) & Registered Midwife (RM) Valid registration with State Nursing Council
Work Experience (Important)
Minimum 1 year work experience after:
- B.Sc Nursing OR
- Post Basic B.Sc Nursing
